Characteristics and uses:
The UV absorber is a hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole UV absorber that effectively protects the coating gloss, prevents cracking and spotting. This product is easy to emulsify and is especially suitable for aqueous systems. The dispersion of the UV absorber in aqueous systems can be achieved by dissolving it in a water-soluble solvent such as diethylene glycol diethyl ether.
The UV absorber has good high-temperature and extraction resistance, making it particularly suitable for industrial and automotive coatings with higher weatherability requirements. It can also provide sufficient protection for sensitive substrates such as wood.
The UV absorber is used with hindered amines (HALS), such as light stabilizer 292 or 123. These synergistic agents significantly improve coating performance and prevent loss of gloss, cracking, blistering, peeling, and discoloration.
