With the continuous advancement of Industry 4.0 concepts, cold-pressing granulation equipment will make great strides towards intelligence. Future cold-pressing granulators are expected to be equipped with more advanced sensors to monitor in real-time parameters such as raw material flow rate, humidity, and hardness, as well as key indicators such as pressure, temperature, and speed during equipment operation. Through data analysis and processing of the intelligent control system, the equipment operating parameters can be precisely and automatically adjusted to ensure stable production of high-quality granular products even when raw material properties fluctuate. For example, when an increase in raw material humidity is detected, the system automatically adjusts the pressure roller pressure and granulation speed to ensure the molding effect and size accuracy of the granules. This not only significantly improves production efficiency but also reduces manual operation errors, reduces labor intensity, and improves the company's production management level. 
 

Process Optimization and Expanded Application Areas 
On the one hand, researchers will continuously optimize the cold-pressing granulation process itself. By improving the equipment structural design, the compression ratio and forming rate of raw materials will be further improved, and energy consumption will be reduced. For example, research and development of new pressure roller materials and surface treatment technologies will enhance the wear resistance of pressure rollers while improving the granule demolding effect, reducing granule adhesion and breakage, and improving product quality. On the other hand, the cold-pressing granulation process will continuously expand its application areas. In addition to the existing fields of food additives and antioxidants, in the field of biopharmaceuticals, it is expected to be used to prepare granules of temperature-sensitive active pharmaceutical ingredients; in the agricultural field, it can be used to produce controlled-release fertilizer granules, achieving precise control and release of fertilizer nutrients through cold-pressing granulation, improving fertilizer utilization rate, and reducing environmental pollution.
